DHIS2 application operations

YaLIM DHIS2 Operations Partner

Get structured support for DHIS2 administration, reporting workflows, and agreed operational improvements—without replacing the system your team already uses.

For programme teams that need more than infrastructure, but do not need an unlimited consulting engagement.

Tell us about your programme. Scope, responsibilities, and pricing are agreed before work begins.

When your team needs an operations partner

No clear operational owner.

Requests move between programme staff, consultants, and technical teams without a shared backlog or clear next action.

Recurring reporting-workflow problems.

Access, configuration, or report issues distract your team from completing and using its programme data.

Support after implementation.

Your system is in place, but administration, approved improvements, and handover tasks still need attention.

Best suited to an existing DHIS2 programme with an authorized contact and a defined operational need. New implementations and major migrations require separate scoping.

Hosting and operations serve different needs

Managed hosting

Focus
The technical environment and infrastructure services included in your plan.
Typical work
Hosting, backup arrangements, and infrastructure support as defined in your agreement.
Visibility
Infrastructure information provided by your hosting service.
Boundaries
Your hosting plan and its service commitments.

Operations Partner

Focus
Agreed application-administration and reporting-workflow tasks.
Typical work
Reviewing requests, carrying out approved changes, and tracking operational exceptions.
Visibility
A concise record of completed work, open issues, owners, and next steps.
Boundaries
A separate scope, time allowance, responsibilities, and commercial agreement.

Tasks already included in your hosting agreement remain part of that agreement. We identify any additional work before quoting.

Start with a defined scope. Continue if the need is recurring.

Operational baseline

A focused engagement to understand one DHIS2 instance, review one priority reporting workflow, and agree what needs attention.

  • Review the environment, operational responsibilities, and available recovery evidence.
  • Examine one agreed reporting workflow and identify configuration or process issues.
  • Prioritize an operational backlog and carry out agreed improvements within the contracted allowance.
  • Deliver a written readout, a change record, and recommended next steps.

Fixed scope. Quote provided after a fit discussion.

Ongoing operational support

For teams with recurring administration and reporting-workflow needs, agree a support arrangement with a named contact and a visible backlog.

  • A named service contact and an agreed support channel.
  • Scheduled operational reviews and small, approved administrative or configuration changes.
  • Tracking of requests, open issues, customer actions, and upcoming changes.
  • A monthly action report and an agreed review with your team.

Separately scoped support. Hours, response arrangements, and pricing are defined in your agreement.

How an engagement starts

  1. Describe the problem.

Tell us about your programme, current support arrangement, and one recurring operational issue. Do not send patient data or credentials.

  2. Agree the scope.

We confirm fit, responsibilities, access arrangements, deliverables, and pricing before work starts.

  3. Review the work.

Track approved changes and open issues, then decide whether a recurring support arrangement is useful.

Illustrative example — fictional programme and activities; not a customer result.

Monthly action report — Example Programme

  • Approved access update.

Adjusted the example reporting group's access; programme lead review recorded.

  • Reporting gap.

Missing submissions remain under review. The programme team owns source-data completion.

  • Configuration review.

Review the proposed report change in a test environment before requesting production approval.

  • Clear ownership.

Each action records an owner, status, and agreed next step.

  • Visible effort.

Record the time used and remaining allowance against the actual customer agreement.

Your report follows the scope and responsibilities agreed for your programme.

Clinical context, information systems, and operations

YaLIM brings together medical training, health-information-system implementation experience, and infrastructure operations. This service applies that perspective to agreed DHIS2 administration and reporting-workflow tasks.

Your team retains responsibility for programme decisions, clinical decisions, source-data ownership, and approval of production changes. Access and data-handling arrangements must be agreed before operational work begins.

Offered by YaLIM LLC. “Operations Partner” is the service name, not a claim of official DHIS2 certification or endorsement.

Questions before you enquire

Is this included in my hosting plan?

No. This is a separately scoped operational service. Tasks already included in your hosting agreement remain covered there; any additional work is identified before quoting.

Can I enquire if DHIS2 is hosted elsewhere?

Yes. Describe your current arrangement. We assess fit and authorized access before confirming a scope. Support for an externally hosted instance is not guaranteed, and migration is not assumed.

What does the service cost?

Pricing depends on the agreed instance, workflow, responsibilities, and volume of support. We provide a quote before work starts. Hosting fees, where applicable, are separate unless the agreement states otherwise.

Does this include 24/7 support or guaranteed resolution times?

Not in the standard scope. Service hours and response arrangements must be agreed explicitly. A response commitment is different from a resolution guarantee.

Will you change our production system automatically?

No changes are authorized by submitting an enquiry. Operational access, change approvals, and responsibilities must be agreed before work begins. Existing hosting-contract provisions remain separate.

Should I send patient data, credentials, or screenshots?

No. Use the enquiry form only to describe your organizational needs. Do not send patient information, passwords, API keys, or attachments. Any later access or data transfer requires an agreed arrangement.

Is this an AI product or a clinical service?

No. It is a scoped operational service for DHIS2 programme teams. It does not provide clinical decisions or replace your team's approval responsibilities.

Give your DHIS2 operational backlog a clear next step.

Tell us about one recurring issue, your current support arrangement, and your programme's priorities. We will discuss whether a scoped engagement is appropriate.

An enquiry does not create a service contract, book a meeting, or authorize access to your systems.
